History of Knowle LFC

Team Photo - 2006-2007 season.

For those oldies amongst us heres a little flashback of a presentation night a few years ago courtesy of Sam. (We really haven't changed a bit!!)

Spot the WKD!!

How it all began.......

In 1901 the Lords of Knowle had the idea of kicking round a stuffed potato sack with the aim of kicking it in between two wooden uprights. They had a jolly good time and decided to call it football.
100 years later Steve Kinsman heard about this game from his great, great grandfather. He decided that he would reinvent the game with one change - ladies!
Knowle Ladies Football Club was born. The game is played much the same as it always was, however, key inventions have given the sport a modern feel: sports bras, blue WKD and half time fags.
Steve took the club to a more serious level by enrolling it in the West Midlands League Division One South where it has gone from strength to strength. Next season we will definitely win the league.
